After our arrival in Airlie Beach at 7AM I checked into the Beaches Hostel and decided to take a nap until the town woke up. When I later went across the street to a nice little cafe to get a more substantial Brekkie than the usual cereal-toast combination I discovered to my surprise that they had German Bauernfruehstueck (Farmer's breakfast) on the menu. Prepared by a cook from Thailand and served by a waitress from Estonia ;) The afternoon I spent reading at the Airlie Beach Lagoon before heading out for Happy Hour drinks with my fellow backpackers.

Nach unserer Ankunft in Airlie Beach um 7 Uhr checkte ich ins Baches Backpackers ein und legte mich noch ein wenig auf's Ohr bevor der Ort aufwachte. Als ich spaeter ins Cafe gegenueber ging, um mal wieder etwas Herzhafteres als Cornflakes und Toast zu essen, las ich zu meiner Ueberraschung Bauernfruehstueck auf der Speisekarte. Zubereitet von einem Koch aus Thailand und serviert von einer Kellnerin aus Estland ;) Den Nachmittag verbrachte ich mit Lesen an der Airlie Beach Lagune bevor wir Backpackers uns wieder fuer Drinks zur Happy Hour trafen.
