We thought we had the route planned to get straight to the campsite at Canberra but as usaul it wasn't as straight forward as that!! After going round the streets a few times we eventually got to the campsite we were heading for to find it was closed for check-in so we decided to go to the one further up the road which looked much nicer anyway. The next morning we got up pretty much when we wanted, it was nice knowing we didnt have to trek anywhere and the drive in to Canberra central was o nly about 10 mins. Once in the City it was an interesting task trying to park the big campa as always but we did!!!! We had been told by many people that Canberra wasnt that interesting and it just went round in circles so when we were walking round we were pleasantly surprised to find it was a lovely place and felt very friendly and the atmosphere seemed all right!! We walked round for a while and then decided to drive to the parliament house which wouldve been a long walk. We managed to get a look inside for FREE!! It was very interesting to see how everything was set out and we even got to have a look in the 'Senate' and another room which we cant remember the name of!!!! It was strange to see a statue of OUR Queen there even though its theirs as well. The road up to the parliament building is long and flagged similar to the Mall road to Buckingham Palace but very different in colour and surroundings. It had no fencing and very little security with a free car park underneath it. We did however have to go through security and our bags were checked. There isnt much else to say about Canberra but we both liked it and can understand why people think it goes round in circles just based on the road network alone. Now on to our next stop, the big City of SYDNEY!!!!!!!!! XXXXXX
