Travel with Elaine and Buzz
A disclaimer: I am writing this blog ffrom my new iPad. I am not sure that pictures will accompany the entries, but I am trying to figure that out. I will post photos on facebook from time to time.
We have had a wonderful week in Israel with our beautiful little girls. It was a week of family time without much in the way of sight seeing. We did, of course, visit the Machane Yehudah shouk and the Old City. I had never been to the Kotel (Western Wall) at night before. We were there around 11PM. The plaza was still bustling with people, and it was quite a moviing experience. I tucked a note into the wall for a friend who is ill and said my few prayers.
One day Kate had a meeting in En Hod..a village in the north. We went with her and got a private tour of the Janco Dada Museum..It is a really intersting place, and Buzz especially liked the hands on, create it yourself, rom filled with all sorts of recycled junk!
We spent Shabbat with Ofer's family twice...once in Ashkelon enjoying the views of the sea from their terrace and basking in the 22C sunshne, and once in Jerusalem. We went to school to see Savyon receive her first reading book in an sweet ceremony, baked Challah, watched Sapir in Judo and Keshet and Savyon in Tai Kwon Do, visited with a cousin of mine I was meeting for the first time, walked around the city, visited Kate's office, and generaloly participated in their framily life.
Now we go home only to repack and leave on January 1 for our New Zeland 2012 adventure. We hope you will check my blog from time to time and follow us along.
Best wishes for the holiday you celebrate and for health and peace in the New Year.
