Yesterday was spent at the 100th Australian Open Tennis Championship with Becky, Jen, Siobhan and 2 friends of theirs from home, Kate and Steve. We were up early and at the arena just after the gates opened at 1000, having got the tram into town and back out. We had ground passes, which allowed us access to all courts except the main Rod Laver Arena, so we headed for the 2nd court in the Vodafone Arena. Once there we spent ages faffing and trying to find seats...

Just a very quick line to let you know that I\'ve arrived safe and sound in St Kilda, a suburb of Melbourne. I flew from Sydney at 0930 this morning and the duration of the flight was 1 hour, so I was therefore slightly surprised to be sitting in a 747. Quantas obviously needed to move the plane, but it was great - loads of leg room and interactive entertainment, including spider solitaire and tetris, which kept me amused all the way.
