I'm feeling a little fragile today. Keren and I decided to go to the Sunday Sessions at a bar in Cottesloe Beach, just outside Perth on the way to Fremantle. We arrived at 2ish and promptly started drinking wine, then bumped into the 3 girls I had been sharing with in Fremantle and from there it was downhill. OK, I'm now in the metropolis that is Perth. Both Fremantle and Perth have free buses called Cats which do loops of the city all day long and you can hop on and off wherever you like. Yesterday was spent in the saddle (of a push bike that is) on the beautiful island of Rottnest. Rotto, as it is known by the locals, is an island about 10km long by 6km wide at the widest point and the ferry journey there takes about half an hour from Freo. The island got it's name from the king sized rats that were seen there by the first settlers, hence 'Rat's Nest'.
