So I finally arrive in Bangkok it taken along time and we ended up delaying in the sky somehow - maybe the pilot got lost... but we're an hour late anyways. So I get on the wifi waiting for my stamp in to see where Rob is as he was meant to be landing around same time as me, no messages from him but I can see he's been online since landing so I message him. Cricket world cup fever hit NZ big Style!! The opening cermony was in Hagley park which is a ten minute walk from my house so off we went there. It was pretty epic. Shapeshifter played who were wicked I got to get my dance on which was nice for a thursday night! The prime minister was there and so was the mayor. it was a big event for Christchurch to be holding as just before the major earthquakes 4 years ago they were about to host the Rugby World Cup....

So after new year I arrived back home to Christchurch, I was in a mess. My body hated me. So I decided to do a detox - just fruit, vegtables and this rank vege soup for 3 days then I was allowed to eat chicken too for the last 3 days. I did very well and stuck to it pretty easily as I literally couldnt drink any more alcohol after the festive period and I had ate so much crap so it was amazing to just eat good stuff. Eating healthy in NZ is pretty pricey ...

So I get the bus from Windy Welly all the way to Taupo, our lunch stop was at a farm which is awesome as obviously I do love farms. It has sheep (standard NZ) Llamas and even pigs!
