We were able to sleep in a bit at least, but we still had to be up early enough to finish packing, eat bread and jam for breakfast, and get out of our rooms before our checkout time at 10am. As soon as I had stowed my luggage in their luggage area, I went for a walk. The place I wanted to grab lunch at was closed until 11:30, so I just wandered the shopping street for a bit looking at nicknacks, but didn't get anything.
I went to the waffle place again (Illy) for a decent lunch so I didn't have to buy airplane food, and a nutella latte. I spent some time there before heading back to the hostel. Waited with Melanie and Lexi before we had to have our luggage downstairs for the airport shuttle to pick us up.
It was a pretty uneventful ride, and then easy to get through check-in and security. I picked up a bunch of Icelandic liquor in the duty free (I'm pretty sure I ended up with more than the allowable amount for the whole trip). Then it was a bit of a wait to get onto the plane.
Thank goodness there was a decent movie selection for the long flight home. Customs was easy to get through back in Edmonton. Zach was there to pick me up, and we got take-out supper before heading home.
