Ended up getting about four hours of sleep because we had to be up so early. It was good I had packed last night because it would have been so hard to do in the morning. In no time at all, we were packed onto the buss with bagged lunches. It probably would have been faster to walk to the ferry instead of packing everything on the bus, but I guess it was alright since everyone was really tired.
The ferry is pretty big, and they gave us the wrong room, but we got food and a table to have a nap on, so we weren't complaining. I took a gravel before getting on the ferry, just in case, but it knocked me right out and I slept most of the 2 1/2 hour trip. We disembarked in Helsinki, and we didn't have much free time there either.
We stopped at Helsinki Cathedral to take some pictures, just like the last time EYC had been there. And after we'd had our fun we were free to walk around and grab something to eat. Veronika, Sophia, Johanna, Cosette and Emily wanted sushi, so we tried to find one that wasn't expensive. We found a place, but it wasn't open until later. So, while they looked around the mall, I went off for a walk by myself to look at the places around there.
After lunch, we found Daniel, our guide, on the walk back and we walked back to the Cathedral square with him. He was nice enough to show us a way into the University he goes to so we could use a bathroom. And after we stopped in a small souvenir shop so Johanna and Cosette could pick up a couple things. We finally packed back on the bus for the drive out to the airport. Lexi, Melanie, Erica and I had to check in first because we were stopping in Iceland. We sang goodbye to Daniel before we headed through security, and then we had to wait at the gate for a really long time.
