The snow has come earlier to the Tatras than normal and it has been bitter cold. We were hoping to get the cable car up to Lomnicky Stit (the Tatras equivalent of the Aiguille du Midi), but it has been closed and when it did open there were no views so we couldn't see the point in paying 27 Euros each, we have seen plenty of fog whilst pedalling! So i went and did a peak without Donna which was clear occassionally. A very rocky path covered in snow was very dangerous, Donna was glad she opted out!! The tops did clear - around 4pm when the cable car was shut anyway. Donna has been conjuring up a meal every evening for 6 days on just two hob rings and very limited choice at the potriviny (grocery store). Donna thought she had found another supermarket using her mobile but she took us the wrong direction completely. We did however find the summer bob / luge - great fun. We saw another stag, just lying on the grass outside a hotel. Heading south to Hungary next. We are hearing from several sources that winter is coming early in Eastern Europe - we hope they are wrong.
