Previously we had drab rides with somewhere interesting at the end, recently as we have got closer to the Tatra Mountains we have had interesting rides with drab destinations! The mornings begin with freezing fog so we don't get to enjoy the views to start, this wasn't a problem leaving ugly Ruzomberok but as we climbed up and up we wanted a view, then as we reached the col summit we came out of the fog and wow there were the Tatras. The day just got better and better, but boy was the air cold (despite the sunshine). We stayed in Vazec which was very sleepy but not ugly and Donna broke another shower!! The door handle came off as she was trying to get out of it. Complaints and requests - no mention of Donna's Knickers and wine for a while some have said and more food pics others have said - will try to reslove this in future posts. We are having time off Titty in the Tatras to walk in the mountains, the problem is our legs need a rest - so we had a very short ride from Vazec to Poprad then caught the train up the climb to our Tatra destination. Two flights of steps to get a loaded tandem to the train platform!! We overcame this by taking Titty up two escalators - that was interesting and we certainly got some strange looks! Before catching the train I sat on a wooden bench and received a cheek full of splinters - ouch! Oh and we bought some bisto and a Pataks curry sauce (from Tesco).
