We were on our way to the historic town of Barkerville but needed groceries, gas and propane before heading down highway 26 as there is not much in the way of services down there. We stopped in Quesnel for gas (petrol) and filled up but the gas station didn't sell propane - they actually refill your cylinders in North America, you don't exchange. We keep meeting people touring Canada in RV's for 3 weeks and they are all on their way back to Vancouver after visiting Jasper, Banff and Lake Louise. From Rossland we headed north to New Denver, found an RV park right on Slocan lake. Canadians seem to love fires, not forest fires but camp fires.
