Off again to a new destination
Oh, life is hard when it's all recreation
Waterfalls galore we saw at Johnston Canyon
Missed the next turn, so Silverton falls walk we did abandon
Once again, we were at Lake Louise
Can we stop Donna asked, oh pretty please
But onward we really must go
Over the pass to the park of Yoho
A quick stop we made in the village of Field
To see what strength their internet would yield
The sunshine has gone, above us it's grey
But at Kicking Horse campground we ended another great day
On the mountain above there is a famous train line
Using two spiralled tunnels it manages the incline
Steak, egg and chips Donna did cook
Late going to bed, no time for a book
We awoke in the morning and the mountains were none
Lots of RV's had already gone
Bacon for breakfast with an egg on the side
A big mug of tea before taking Tilly for a ride
It rained in the night, higher up it was snow
Up Yoho valley we decided to go
The road went up, sharp zigs and zags
A waterfall we spied high up in the crags
Takakkaw falls, seven times taller than Niagara
Frozen stiff in winter without help from Viagra
With boots laced up, down the trail we walked
In case of bears we sang and we talked
What's this we see, it must be the sun
But the clouds on the mountains are still spoiling the fun
In just a few days the leaves have turned gold
The temperature is dropping, it's decidedly cold
What is that smell we both can sniff
Our hiking clothes need washing they are starting to whiff
Laughing falls, we stopped to take in the view
From our new flask we had a steaming hot brew
We turned back from here, the forecast was poor
Inside Tilly we would be dry for sure
To Emerald lake we did head
But the road was closed, two people were dead
On learning of the fatal crash
Back to the campground we went in a flash
Instead we sauntered up the 'Walk in the Past' Trail
High up it went to explore the old train rail
On old steam loco we found in a heap
Abandoned and twisted, there it did sleep
Back to the campground, the traffics still queued
Our Emerald Lakes plan was reviewed
Snacks and steaming hot showers
No lake today we've lost too many hours
Heavy rain and then moments it's sunny
The weathers unpredictable, it's really not funny
The clouds clear briefly to show peaks up above
Huge hanging glaciers, white like a dove
For dinner tonight we're having a chop
With roasters and stuffing and gravy on top
Our stay in Yoho is just one full day
Tomorrow we leave for Park kootenay
