Every view looked like a postcard picture, such a picturesque background everywhere. The Rainbows coming through the waterfalls and the seals sunbathing on the rocks. A long bus journey but some good pictures and mirroring fresh water streams on the way to the boat around the sound.

Queenstown was sooo good! Such a querky little town, or city, on a lake. When we were leaving the storm had caused a landslide on the only road through to Wanaka, so we spent a night in a hotel near the landslide hoping they would clear it by the next day. Unfortunately, it kept sliding and we had to take a 15hr detour to get to Queenstown, through Arthur's Pass!! Franz Josef was a disaster for us! The first afternoon was great with a walk up to the view point to see the glacier over the lake and then a chill out in the hot tub before dinner, sausage, mash and greens :) Then the storm came... This place was incredible. A funky lake with pancake stacks, water sprays and Rainbows :) Great pictures and from a view point, an artist had drawn characters faces that he could see in the rocks opposite. We then continued to Lake Mahinapua and stayed at Poo Pub. A Great dinner put on for us, followed by a fancy dress party, only using bin liners to make our costumes.
