I forgot to mention, yesterday at the campsite was a giant bouncy pillow... Amazing fun!! It was basically an adults bouncy castle, it had us amused for a good hour! It was so tiring though, and we discovered repeatedly that I can no longer do a front flip :-( today I am so so sore!!!

We left early this morning and headed back to hot water beach but unfortunately the tide was still quite high.

After picking up some groceries we went to the gold mines and walked through the tunnels, we didn't find any gold but the scenery was fantastic. Apparently there's 14 different levels of tunnels, however, it's illegal to mine there now as the local people want to preserve their nature.

On the way to Waitamo we stopped to have a photo with the iconic oversized L&P bottle... I tried my first one today, tis very nice :-)

Then this afternoon... We went black water rafting, caving!! It was the most amazing thing... Absailing 37m, caving in various depths of absolutely freezing water, zip line and tubing and climbing up out through two water falls!! All 64m below the surface!!! Arhhhhh, crazy stuff!! And there was a resident eel called Cecil who I stumbled across, apparently he stays well away from everyone, but he seemed to take a liking to my boots!!

Two hottish showers and about six cups of tea later I have thawed out but still cold :-( bed time me thinks :-)
