June 19: Day 45:
Today was a driving day but mum had something in store for us this morning. I mentioned scones in my previous blog and as we had no breakfast, Dad drove us back to the homestead with our bellies waiting for some scones.
It was a massive damper sized scone which came with cream and jam and that filled us up. We hopped into the car and drove for only about 110 kilometres to a place called Home Valley. We reluctantly stopped listening to Harry Potter and got out of the car at 10:30 which gave us a lot of time to set up. Once we set up we went onto the playground which was luckily across the road and played tip on there until mum called us for lunch. After lunch we were allowed to go to the pool to have a swim. We spent most of our afternoon here because we didn’t come back to the playground until 5:00. Dark started to descend upon us and that was when we came back to have steak for dinner. I’m ready for another walk tomorrow!
