alright guys. hope everyone is well...we're doing alright.

we have made it to koh tao after a stop off in bangkok. the train we took from chiang mai to bangkok was unbelievable. the journey is supposed to take about 8hrs, ours took 17! we were both pretty uncomfortable because although we were in 2nd class, the air con packed up after about 2 hours in and things got pretty depressing when the train started to head back in the direction we were coming from. nevertheless, we made it to bangkok, just a little late.

it was songkran in thailand, which is thai new year and basically the thais have huge water festivals. the streets were mental in bangkok, with thousands of people all with hoses, waterpistols and buckets having huge waterfights...it was crazy.

koh tao was lush, its a small island in the gulf of thailand and is renound for its scuba diving. andy and i completed our open water padi course which is an internationally recognised certificate which means we can dive anywhere in the world by ourselves up to a depth of 18m. apparently kho tao is the best place to do it in the world and we only paid 150 pounds for the course whereas if we would have done it in austrailia it would be over 400!

our next stop is koh phangan for the full moon party, the build up to that as well as the night itself will be mad and we cant wait.
