Hey all

Australia is all good, though it has been a little bit of a shock to our pockets after SE Asia!! Its all in our budget, but still a surprise. Been in Sydney, in an area (red light district - :)) called King's Cross - cheap, and now we know why! haha then Bondi for 4 days satying with some mates from work who are out here..cheers Tim, Briar and Darren for having us!

Did all the touristy stuff, with the aid of Becky and Steve (Becky whom i knew from uni) seeing the Harbour bridge, Opera house, Botanical gardens (nice to run in), Darling harbour and chinatown. Just a pity it was raining most of the time! Sydney's wettest summer for 10 years apparently - awesome timing it aint! Saying that we have had some nice weather recently so cant really complain :)

So Bondi, very chilled out and suited me quite well. Always nice to have a beach a small walk away - great for running as well! Prices are a little higher there but for food we went to the nearby Junction for shopping - loving our Muesli with fruit and yoghurt for brekki and tuna and cous cous for every other meal! :D Yummy!!

Got to do 2 things that were a little different - Had a Trivial Pursuit night (mum and dad will be proud to know my team won!) and had a go at Lawn bowls - not too bad at it. Won our little game, though it was more about the socialising and getting over the hangover form the night before - i recommend to all heavy drinkers - Protein shake before bed, and lawn bowls the day after - very relaxing!

So tomorrow is the start of our movement up the East coast, starting with learning to surf just near Coff's harbour..which sounds good - just a pity we have to up at 5.30am to get on the bus! Fleeced! haha
