Hello people, Well we arrived in Kanchanaburi two days ago, ready to hammer on with our adventure after my flu setback. Then, would you believe it, Dean gets ill. Well, we're certainly getting what we pay for in terms of accommodation. In our last few days in Bangkok we visited the zoo, where we saw crocs, bears, tigers, lions, hippos and snakes among other things. We also took a pedal boat around the lake which was full of big monitors (like a cross between crocodiles and lizards) I'm not sure if they are harmful, but they definitely have the potential to be, so you can imagine my horror when our boat started to drift uncontrollably towards their nest on the river bank. I swear my life flashed before my eyes. We managed to veer away right at the last moment; horror movie style. Been enjoying lots of thai massages since getting ill. They bend you into all sorts of strange positions and press and stand all over your body with their elbows and knees. It's great. Well, i'm off. Hopefully Dean will feel better soon and we can have some more exciting stories to tell. Claire x
