Dean and Claire's t'internet travel journal
Hello all,
We have enjoyed our two nights in Koh Toa; a place renowned for it's beautiful beaches and diving opportunities.
Yesterday we went on a boat trip around the Island and went snorkelling in an area known to attract sharks and turtles. Unfortunately (?) we didn't manage to see any of the above, but we swam alongside millions of tropical fish. The water was really clear so we could see right to the bottom of the ocean, viewing sword fish, crabs, sea urchins, sponges, sea cucumbers and eels (Though Dean still insists that these were snakes which had strayed from the grass...)
We have been staying in a little bungalow/tree house, which is located among lots of trees, which seemed great at first, until I realised how many bugs, reptiles and other animals also reside in the area! Last night we arrived home to find a foot long (and very fat!) lizard barracading our door. We stood outside for ages debating what to do and in the end I forced Dean to push it with a broom to move it away. It didn't move very far though, and in the end we had to run past it to get in the room. Trauma!
This afternoon we are off to Ko Sumai, bye for now!!
