Hello all, greetings from Bangkok, The flight over went pretty well; Dean and I had a full row of seats to ourselves and were provided with plenty of refreshments, though we didn't take advantage of the free supply of alcohol (There's restraint for you!) We were met at the Bangkok airport by a tour rep called 'Apple', who pronounced my name as 'Lamb' (?) We were then dropped at our accommodation, the 'Asia hotel', which was a pretty classy joint with chandeliers and everything! Basically we had dinner then went to bed. Not the most eventful afternoon but we were shattered! Today we have moved onto a B&B (no chandeliers but hey) and are about to go off shopping and exploring. It is currently the Thai New year; the Song khran, which began yesterday and goes on until tomorrow. Thais welcome in the new year by cleansing their souls; chucking buckets of water at each other basically. So tomorrow we are off to Kao San Road, armed with super soakers to join in the festivities!
