jepjep. tanaa ollaa taas kavelty jumalattomasti. kaytiin ettii maanalaista kupunkia joka olikin under construction. paadyttiin harhailee hutongeihin. musta otettiin sellanen "suvi - hutongin prinsessa"-kuva. :) sit kaytiin taivaan temppelilla kattomassa hyvan sadon puolesta rukoilemisen hallia (hah, se on suomennettu just tollee) ja sit saatiin uus kaveri, sellanen mao-hattunen pappa, jonka kaa poseerattiin kuvissa. se oli tosi herttanen. kateltiin myos paikallisten tanssahtelua puistossa. jeejee.

seuraavax suunnattiin sotamuseoon jossa oli tosi ylistavaa juttua kiinan kansasta ja kuinka "me" olemme yhdessa taistelleen vihollisia vastaan etc etc. you know. kaikki vaikuttaa niin hienolta jos totuutta ei kerrota. sita ennen kaytiin muuten syomas sellases hienos raflas. ei muuten ees maxanu paljoo. on ihan paggo gayttaa x:aa. heh.

Long day again

We started the day trying to find the Underground city which lies under Beijing. We wandered around in hutongs not finding it. We asked the local olympic volunteer workers who knew to tell us that it's under cnstruction. Well, at least we got to see how very poor people live - not very nice. The hutongs are nowadays surrounded by very beautiful walls. You could think that the walls hold something precious behind them - the truth is different. But as Suvi said: "What you cannot see doesn't exist."

The same 'non existing' idea we felt in the Military Museum. Especially the revolution section was interesting. If you base your knowledge only on that museum you might say that China is the best country to live in on this planet. But in any case it was an interesting museum with all the cars, tanks, planes (and guns and copies of a-bombs and h-bombs).

Today we visited also the Temple of Heaven. So very beautiful (as so many other ancient buildings here). The temple was restored for a few years ago so the colours were bright and all the figures were clear. There we met also an old People's army soldier on his uniform. We even saw his soldier passport. We took pictures of him....and he took pics of us, with him.
