Hi All, Just got some time to kill so thought would update on wkend! Friday night was the Hostel BBQ, wasn't the greatest but was ok, had a Kangaroo hotdog thing, was very nice, similar to steak, quite chewy!!! Met some people there, went to the bar underneath the hostel, got a bit tipsy and ended up in Arq which is one of the Gay Clubs. Got even more drunk and came back here and started watching the Germany Match. About 5 minutes into it I realised I was seeing 2 tv screens and far more people on the match so decided to go to bed. At some point during the night I managed to find a man to come and keep me company!! hahahaha Saturday had an evil hangover so did nothing except drink lots of water and Gatorade, which is bit like a sports energy drink and is quite good for clearing hangovers apparently. Started watching the england match but again felt the urge to sleep about 50mins into it, I'm not sure if this is because of the football or the 3 quarters of a bottle of wine I was polishing off!! Either way I ended up in bed, this time without a male companion lol Sunday was cool, again just chilled as weather was quite s*** but then went out for my first proper night out in sydney's gay clubs. Now firstly as with mainland Europe no one goes out here until Midnight or later!!!! Which meant i was just sat around for ages twiddling my thumbs waiting for mates to get out lol. Went to Stonewall which is quite cool, but cuz today was a Bank Holiday it was really busy as no one had to work today. Was quite cool though, had a good laugh and got very very drunk, then went down to the Colombian, which despite what the name suggests isn't a drug den hahahaha. I went to the toilet upstairs and on the way back down slipped on one of the steps, didnt fall or antyhing but just slipped, however this was seen by a bouncer. Let me just give a bit of background here before I go any further. Australians like to drink, we all know that BUT they don't like drunks,they can't stand drunk people, which i think is a bit odd but there ya go. They introduced this thing a few years ago i think called RSA, it stands for Responsible Service of Alcohol. It is illegal over here to serve alcohol to someone who is drunk. The bar can get prosecuted and fined under FEDRAL LAW!!!!! Now you know that we can go back to my slippin down the stairs. Bouncer saw this and assumed it was cuz i was wasted. There then followed an arguement between me and bouncer over the fact if i was drunk or not. I lost. My mates had to come out as well so was really unimpressed. I decided to come back to the hostel and they went back to stonewall. I could not get a taxi for love nor money, was freezing to death, so decided to walk back to the hostel. I have a very hazy memory of this little adventure needless to say it took me an hour and i did 3 laps of Hyde park along the way!!!!! I didnt get up today until 1pm, it was lovely, had shower and went for a walk as weather was nice. Went to Hyde Park, saw a few memorials, went to the museum which was really cool (how nerdy am i!!), was there until it closed and then went and watched the sunset over the harbour bridge and Opera house, which was beautiful. Tonight am gonna watch the Aussie Match and cheer them on.(Hel's tell JC not to have a go at me but they cheered england on the other night so its only fair!!) have a good day Kids!!!!
