A short minibus trip and speed boat in the dark and we landed at Ilha Grande which boasts one of Brazil's most beautiful beaches.....hurrah! Hola!!Sixteen hours of flying we finally touched down in a new continent.....knackered and very confused after living the whole day again in proper sliding doors style and going from being 11 hours ahead of home to being 4 hours behind!! Everyone is super friendly and helpful....at least we think so as we cannot speak a word of Spanish and our attempts to learn it up to now has proved to rather feeble! Arrived in Queensland....very hot and very humid....and where a lot of animals want to kill or maim you. Stayed in a great hostel with a pool, its own calyso bar and and all-you-can-eat buffet every night! Took a day trip out to the outer parts of the Great barrier Reef and did two very cool dives.
