We didn't have the best sleep last night what with all the snoring, but I was looking forward to the all you could eat breakfast buffet...and it didn't disappoint! We checked out of the hostel and walked back the way we came yesterday to grab catch the bus to Plovdiv as neither of us fancied doing the 7/8 hour bus right to Sozopol today. We didn't have to wait long before we were off and having our daily coach nap, and for once the bus actually took the time stated in the lonely planet so by 2:30 we were checked in to the Plovdiv hostel mostal.

As we were walking towards the old town we spotted Miguel and Mercedes, the Argentinian couple we had met in Pristina so we caught up with them whilst the looked for a hostel and discovered we were all planning to head to Sozopol tomorrow, they offered us a ride in there rental car....this would make a nice change from the buses, we arranged to meet for dinner to finalise everything.

Mark and I continued our walk around the old town stopping for a cheeky beer making us a little tipsy. We walked past a lot of churches and historic houses but the most impressive was the Roman Amphitheatre.

Walking around in the sun really does take it out of you so we headed back for another lie down before we met the guys who were doing a free walking tour off the city....when we were waiting for them outside there hostel they walked past engrossed in conversation with some people, we felt awkward so began to follow them....then they turned round so we stopped, walked back to the meeting point and acted natural....god we are pathetic!

We had a great evening chatting and to them and an American girl and another argentine guy while eating some traditional Bulgarian food and we arranged to meet tomorrow at 9 which made Mark smile as the bus was at 6:45am!
