After an early 5.30am start, we are finally in Salvador. Ended up in Barra just 4km from vibrant Pèlo. The first several Hostels were full so we have ended up on the sea front ( Rua Oceania ) had a quick look around and now in a sea food restaurant. Have no idea what we ordered but it was nice once we 'fished' out the bones. Sitting outside watching the rain with a glass of Sol. Crazy drunk guy walking around shouting which is making Stevie feel a little uneasy. Feeling a little tipsy now as every time we ask for the bill they bring us another beer....we aren't sure if once again Stevie's Portuguese is failing us or they are taking advantage of our lack of communication skills?!

Afternoon update.....

Literally just took me half an hour to get into our bathroom...mark has tied the door handle to the wardrobe because the bathroom window doesn't lock and leads on to the hostel balcony....too much????

Evening update....

Just booked a flight to Bèlem for the 7th....yay....now relaxing with a caprianha and a beer on the balcony of the hostel overlooking the beach, Salvador style....
