Hey this is going to be a short blog today as this internet connection isnt the best. So after leaving Delhi we decided to leave for Corbett National Park, in the hope of doing an elephant safari to see tigers. Having got there it was soon clear that we just couldnt afford to do this, it was so expensive. It worked out about 60 pounds for 3 hours and having spoke to a few people, no gurantee of seeing anything. So that was out the window and with Anousheh having only 3 days left we decided to check into a really nice hotel and treat outselves. The place was a 4 star safari lodge and included all food and drink. We sat by the camp fire with some local people and singing hindi songs and danced the nights away. It was good to have a relaxing few days.
Whist in Delhi my camera packed up after I dropped it. Not having much lucky with electrical stuff. :) Its work out well in a way thouigh as I now have a 14 mega Pix top of the range Sony Cybershot worth about 400 quid in the UK. It only cost 120 with a 2 year warranty :)
Moving on, Anousheh left today and I have to say I cried quite a bit. When you spend 31 dys with someone you become very close. Its been great, Ive learnt so much about Iranian culture, the west's view on iran is very wrong. Its not the people who cause the trouble, its there government. Anousheh told me about when the elections took place there was a riot because it was rigged, she was on the streets that day and still has the scar where the police hit her. It makes me sad to think that a government can treat its people that way, but the people and places to see are great. Everyone I have spoke to say its an amazing place to travel. I cant wait to go to Iran but it wont be soon, ill have to leave that until im heading to Africa.
So Im on my own now, im heading to Amristar to see the Siki Golden temple and the border parade on the Pakistan border. Dont worry Dad Im not going to Pakistan, you cant get the visa from here anyway. The plan then is to go to Jalsamer amd do a Camel safari and before heading to Nepal. Im hoping to do a cheaper elephant trek there.
Ill leave it there for now. :)
