We arrived in Mission beach and were welcomed by the beautiful sunshine that we had been waiting for. We were put into a 5 bed dorm on our own which was weird. Later on that day two girls joined our dorm, Lucie and Hayley. We chilled by the pool and then took a walk along the beach to Scoties bar where we had our dinner. That evening we stayed in with a few bottles of Jacobs Creek and watched 'The Drum Line'  a typical cheesy American film, it was nice to have a real girlie night but the film was awful. The next morning was my birthday which began pretty early. We had to catch a bus to the Tully River where we would be white water rafting, a wonderful birthday present from Brendan. When we arrived at the Tully River we met Nick and and were put into a group of 7 Nick, Face, Dan, Aj and Gill. An awsome group who made our rafting expeience one to remember! All the way down the river we were hurling abuse at the other boats and teasing the instructors. It was great fun. Lisa told everyone that it was my birthday so at lunch time the lads covered me in BBQ and tomato sauce, it was disgusting!. They were gentlemen and helped me clean most of it off but I still smelt awful! On our last rapid our instructor made the boat trip and we all ended up in the river. I turned to Lisa and reminded her that there were snakes and eels in the river so we swam for our lives back to the boat! When we got back to our resort Lisa had a surprise birthday cake ready for me and Lucie and Hayley had the 'Passion Pop' at the ready! It was one of the best birthdays I have ever had. That evening Nick came round and we all went out for dinner and drinks. We ended up jiving the night away in 'Coconuts' and mingled with the locals. The night didn't end there.... when we got back to the hostel we all jumped into the pool for a midnight swim. I didn't last very long after that and left Lisa and Hayley in the pool.The bus journey the next day was tough but we were a little naughty and sneaked on some food  felt like we were back at school!!Lots of Love The Two Amigos
