Firstly, you'll see in this picture that the beaches are beautiful. Pattaya is nothing like this. If you could sum Pattaya up in three words, this would be sex, money and ... sex! We stayed in Thong Bar hotel which was cheap and in a good location (Soi 9, Beach Road). Mitch stayed for one night but unfortunately his room smelt worse than a portaloo! Siem Reap has beautiful temples which we visited on a tuk-tuk tour. On the tour, we visited 3 temples in total, one being the Angkor Wat. This was huge and nice to see, although there was scaffolding on the front where they were doing some work so it ruined the pictures slightly. We arrived at Sihanoukville in the evening and checked in to a lovely hotel with a pool, and at a reasonable $18! The room was good, the bar area was really chilled out with lots of much needed fans and a pool table. The food = good! We had heard that the nightlife here was supposed to be good, so the three of us headed out to the bars to see what was around. One thing that caught out attention was Utopia, due to the loud music and looking quite busy! We had a go...

What a nightmare start to the day! Blistering heat all dressed for the coach journey (trousers in my case) and we turn up at the booking office, 10am sharp only to find out that the coach was full and we hadn't been booked on until 3pm! Cheeeers! The Agent said he was sorry but the one who did the booking was new. This would have been acceptable if we weren't so hot, tired and he didn't have a big smug grin on his face as he told us! Nevermind... what to do, hmmm...

This is our first opportunity to update since we left Vietnam! Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) was busy and hectic like Hanoi but much more tourist friendly, with a few streets full of bars and restaurants within a few steps from our hotel!
