Siem Reap has beautiful temples which we visited on a tuk-tuk tour. On the tour, we visited 3 temples in total, one being the Angkor Wat. This was huge and nice to see, although there was scaffolding on the front where they were doing some work so it ruined the pictures slightly. The weather that day was incredibly hot, so it was a mission to do all the walking and stairs, but was worth it. Unfortunately, we were bearing too much skin to be able to go into the Angkor Wat properly (especially as I had my shoulders on show and apparently should have worn a scarf - no chance in that heat!) In the evening, we visited Pub Street where the best places were the Angkor What bar and the Temple Bar. Needless to say, the cards were out again and so were the beer towers! Fun all round!
The next day, we took a tuk-tuk to the shooting range where James and Mitch fired an M16 (... interesting to say the least!) and spent the rest of the day relaxing in the pool, before going to Pub Street again. There was a sudden storm which was really strange but typical of S.E.A weather (that's for you Mitch).
We finally came across the little kids with babies who were begging - it turns out they DO want money as well as milk, unlike our best travelling buddy in Sihanoukville told us! Needless to say, they got neither from us.
We decided that this was enough of Siem Reap and booked to go to Pattaya in Thailand the next day... whoopsie!
