Day two of the spring break trip! OK, so first night camping gave us more learning, including turing the breaker on for the power, and bringing the water up to full pressure to get it to work better. Both things were resolved, it just turns out we camped on battery pretty much all night. We did get a pretty strong thunderstorm which rattled the camper pretty good, but otherwise we did pretty well.
We took our drive right down to Memphis and made phone reservations for Graceland, which was just fabulous! I loved it. The kids were excited too, and everyone got their earphones to listen to the walking tour. Everyone enjoyed the carpeting on the ceiling, and the mirrors all down the stairs to the basement. The car museum was especially fun for the boys, and I (Robert) went a little crazy with souveneirs. I could have gotten so many more, the girls wanted an Elvis clock that had his hips swinging to time, but we decided to leave that there.
For those of you that were concerned with safety, I was able to replace the fuse for the horn relay, so I can blast people once again on the road in my way. Certainly as slow as I drive, its typically others blowing their horn at me, but that's OK. We're still averaging 9 MPG while towing, so there have been plenty of gas stops. Such is life.
We left Graceland and drove about another eighty miles or so and found Frog Hollow Campground in Grena, MS. Got the propane tank totally filled, and no mishaps lighting the water heater, so I must be getting better. Tomorrow the plan is to head to New Orleans, and maybe get a guided tour so we don't have to deal with that city on our own. We'll see. Looking forward to better weather, and some sleep for everyone, including the driver. Everyone down right now but me, so that's a good start. We're all showered too, which helps.
