We both liked the flamenco show last night. Trapper was very surprised by how serious and sad the singer and dancers faces were. I loved watching the guitar player and I could have watched for hours. The singing was done well but sounded like a load of wailing to me. The dancing was very Rythmic. It was like the percussion section and was often and surprisingly the star sound of the music. In that sense the dancers particularly the man was great.
We then continued our passeo down and a crossed the bridge and into Triana and then back to our apartment via the historic centre. It was very nice and there were so many people still out walking at 1030. We stopped at one point and had supper at a taverna. I had a glass of wine tinto for $ 1.30 Trapper had a tiny water for $1.40. We also had pig cheeks and oxtail for supper. The tail was alright. We both agree the cheeks were amazing. We will have to try to sort that out at home. I was quite surprised by Trapper s enthusiasm for the cheeks.
This morning we are off to see Christopher Columbus in the cathedral. His contract to discover the new world in the archives of the indies. And the royal palace where it was all planned and financed.
