This morning we went to the Alhambra it was as good as I expected. The palaces were beautiful and looked good. The tile work and views in the moorish palace were just beyond. We were in the room where queen Isabella was convinced by Christopher Columbus to fund his exploration which found North America. We also saw the room in which Washington Irving lived and wrote tales of the Alhambra. I liked imagining the palace in all its past glory and ruin.
Noon or a little later we walked over to the royal chapel where we saw king Ferdinand and queen Isabella.
We then wandered a bit and found a wonderful little bar where we got the daily meal. It was incredibly filling. I had an app of lentils that was pretty close to our baked beans and a main of calamari and a pudding for desert all for only 10 euro.
Anyway that’s it for now. We have just a bit more wandering for the rest of the day.
