Hey everyone
Today we went to Noosa!
We packed up and checked out of our hostel and made the short journey to the transit centre, yet with all our bags it was not an easy task. We got on the correct bus and were on our way.
Noosa is a little seaside 'town' made up of three little towns. Its made famous by its waves (good for long boarders) and while we were there there was a surfing competition on. Our hostel was a huge house with several outbuildings that had been converted to dorm rooms. Our room was nice, next to the kitchen though which was very noisy.
After chatting to the people in the dorm we decide to go and check out the beach, just a small walk from the hostel. The huge national park at Noosa ends right on the beach, and its quite a sight to see forests ending and a beach immediately starting. We carried on walking along the beach but in a matter of minutes the clouds got darker, and then it started to pour down with rain. We took shelter under some trees but when it rained so hard we started to get wet, we decided to run home. We had been out in the rain for no more than a minute yet we were dripping wet, and when we hobbled back to the hostel it looked like we had swam in the sea with our clothes on!
In the afternoon the rain kept pouring, so we decide to catch up with our books. Alex went to the welcome meeting (complete with free drink) to welcome us to the hostel where he got chatting to some other guys travelling. He also braved the rain to get dinner while Christina finished her book.
We went to sleep that night listening to the rain through the shutters, wondering how it could possible rain so much in the so-called Sunshine State. Xxx
