Hey everyone

Today was video diary day - take two.

We decided to have another day exploring Newcastle, and to take the video camera out for another video diary day. We began by walking to Nobby's Beach, one of the two main beaches in Newcastle, then down along the peninsula to a little lighthouse on the end. After filming the waves crashing against the rocks we went to Fort Scratchley nearby. After a quick chat with the guard (who told Christina to put on lots of suncream because she was pale... as if she didn't know already) we had an explore of the fort, filmed Alex talking about when the fort saw action, and found some shade to have lunch in.

Our next stop was the bogie hole for a swim, but the waves were too big and it would have been dangerous with all the rocks around to have gone in. We watched as a crazy fisherman jumped in, and Christina got worried that he would get pulled out to sea. We then had another nice relax on the beach closest to our hostel, and found a man-made pool right next to the sea, which Christina had a paddle in.

Back at the hostel, we made ourselves a mountain of spaghetti bolognese, and enjoyed it with a glass of sparkling wine, preparing ourselves for the wine tour we decided to go on the next day... Xxx
