Back in Amsterdam where the cheese is fresh and the people are wild!
After walking around the city a bit, we made our way to the Anne Frank house. After visiting Dachau in Germany, it was enlightening to see how the other half lived/ hid during the war.
A lot of the house, which was originally the office her father worked at, had been preserved. The walls were covered with pictures and the words of Anne. The rooms were preserved to represent the original secret annex and contained many original items. Room by room, we saw the tiny areas the families had to share during the 2 years they were in hiding.
Personally seeing and being in the same room that Anne Frank once lived in and wrote in her priceless diary was an experience I will never forget!

The next day we toured the city and took a bike ride through the countryside. We rode down to a cheese factory and saw how authentic cheese is made in Holland! We also visited a clog shop where we watched a demonstration of clogs being made from a block of wood. The route was scenic and it was a great way to see the countryside of Amsterdam!
At night the group, including our your director, went out to a club. We found this great place with fantastic music and danced the night away!
