Sunday 6th January to Wednesday 9th January 2019 - It was time to say Good-Bye and leave Breakfast Point that sits on the shore of the Parramatta River with its stunning back drop of the Sydney Harbour and continue on with our travels.

We pick up our van and drive down the coast heading for Kiama (translated - where the sea makes a noise) that will be our next stop. As we drive we decide not to take the route that hugs the sea although it's tempting as we would like to see more of this beautiful coastline. However, as we bypass the turnings we breathe a sigh of relief that we made the right decision as the road signs indicate the routes are steep & winding and not suitable for caravans.

We set up camp on top of the cliffs that overlooked the beaches and rugged coastline before taking a stroll to explore this lovely part of the Kiama.

During our stay we visited:

The lighthouse that was founded in 1887 and still operational today. The Kiama blowholes nestled amongst the rocky coastline overlooking the blue ocean that can spray water up to 25m.

Saddleback Mountain Lookout where we walked around the top amongst the low cloud that needless to say didn't provide the views we had expected to see across the range.

Jamberoo to visit the Budderoo National Park where we wandered through the Minnamurra Rainforest amongst the peaceful & beautiful trees with birds singing in the canopies above and the sound of running water flowing from the cascading Minnamurra & Carrington waterfalls.

Battened down the hatches and sat watching a storm approach across the town and surrounding coast that lit the sky with an eerie purple/red hue before heavy rainfall pounded the roof & strong winds buffeted us from side to side. Luckily we missed the hail.
