Thursday 10th January 2019 - We're now heading for Batemans Bay, taking the coastal road through Shoalhaven Heads, a fuel stop at Nowra before parking up at Huskisson Beach, Jervis Bay for a short break and a wander around this picturesque beach with its turquoise water and sweeping sand bar.
Our next stop is Hyams Beach, a small endearing seaside village where we walk along the beautiful white sand with turquoise waves gently lapping onto the beach and watch dolphins playing nearby. This place is really peaceful and a lovely part of NSW.
It's getting late and we need a place to stop for the night so we finally move on and set up camp in the small town of Milton that's nestled within the Budawang ranges, founded around 1860.
Friday 11th January 2019 - After a quiet night we pack up and set off for Caseys Beach, Batemans Bay. As we pass through the town we stop at the Heritage Bakery founded in 1870 that is still baking on site to day. We buy a loaf and later wished we had bought another as it was the best bread we had ever tasted.
On arrival at Caseys Beach, Batemans Bay we set up camp and then go off to explore the town before returning and relaxing for the rest of the day.
Saturday 12th January 2019 - We take a drive around Batemans Bay where the town is at the entrance to the Clyde River famous for its oysters. We pass by Long Beach with its sweeping bay to Maloney Beach that sits at the edge of Murramarang National Park, parked on top of the dunes that overlooked the clear & turquoise water and sat under the shade of our awning relaxing and taking in the view across the bay.
Not able it seems to sit still for too long; we couldn't resist taking a dip or two in the clear and warm water. After an enjoyable day we pack up and head back to camp for the evening.
