Sunday 23rd December to Saturday 5th January 2019 - We then went on to spend a night at Lane Cove National Park that sat within part of Metropolitan Sydney before heading off to spend Christmas and the New Year with our dear friends Kerry & Glen.
With the van now in storage, we house sat for a few days over Christmas whilst our friends visited with their families. On their return we headed out into the high seas to sail for the Hawkesbury River where we anchored within beautiful coves of clear water and small sandy beaches surrounded by cliffs of lush green vegetation with White Bellied Sea Eagles soaring above and the loud singing of thousands of cicadas.
The days were hot and sunny, so we swam in the cool water or fished off the back of the boat; generally relaxing in the peace and quiet of our lovely surroundings.
When back from our boat trip we spent a few days taking the river ferries into town passing exclusive homes that sat at the edge of the water, parklands and beaches to visit the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, Opera House, The Rocks a neighbourhood of historic laneways with lovely old buildings and the Sydney Fish Market.
Soon we'll be on the move again, making our way down the coast towards Victoria and Melbourne.
