So today was our last day in Boracay before we head out to catch a flight from Caticlan to Manila, and then Manila to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We spent the majority of Tuesday and Wednesday (the 3rd and 4th) just hanging out, catching up on journals, swimming, throwing some Frisbee, walking along the beach, blogging, working on photos, and preparing for the next phase of our journey. It was a relaxing few days and I think was much needed after the drinking and partying that had gone on for the previous few days. Although, it did feel a bit odd to walk through the strip along the beach and go by all of the bars and restaurants that only a few days before had been packed with Frisbee players, many of whom we recognized. The place had a ghost like feel to it, as if we were walking the halls of an empty school building during the middle of summer, and I think we both felt a bit melancholy as a result. Ah well, such is the way of things, and it only makes one appreciate the time spent with friends and family all the more.
Next up, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Neither of us have ever been before, so it should be an interesting venture.
