Checked out and hit the cheap place one more time. Tried to find which bus would take me back to the airport and there was a bit of confusion in the bus stop as nobody really seemed to know. I then got told I would have to wait and hour for it to come. I decided to hit KFC in the meantine, but when walking through town I knew something was up. All the shops were shut and if BSB wasn't already a ghost town, it sure was now. It was clearly prayer time. I got to the shopping centre and there was a crowd of people outside. I went in knowing my fate and ofcourse everything was shut too. I decided to just staying inside in the airconned mall. I sat down on them massaging chairs, but it was only a matter of around 20 seconds before they starting beeping because I hadn't fed them any money. Instead I found a bench and lay back. The prayers then started being blasted into the mall for me to hear, there was some dude talking, then he would start singing. And this repeated for well over an hour. An old cleaner lady then came and found me and I got told that men are not allowed to be indoors, and I should wait inside. I then decided to take a mooch to the mosque which was just next door and watched the precedings. Some people were late and jumping out of cars lol. There was so many people all around outside kneeling down. There was then some dramtic as f*** cloud coverage like I've never seen before. It was really sunny but these massive really high white fluffy clouds loomed over the mosque. This really would have won any photo competition! Wish I could have got a snap of it, but my memory card was already full, and I view any of the files to delete them because of the virus. You'll just have to take my word for it. The mosque thing eventually finished, and everyone piled out and normal life was restored. More and more clouds rolled into to where it eventually it started chucking it down. I found my bus and off we went to the airport. I checked my stuff in back to KL. Paid about £2 for a mars bar too. What a joke.
Made it back KL, was then a bit confused as I couldn't find my connecting flight back home on the board. I then discovered in was in a different terminal, so I hopped on a bus and there I was. Found the KLM desk and checked my stuff all the way through. The immigration queue was massive but I eventually got my last stamp of the trip! I then filtered some more water for the last time too, what a gadget this had been! Absolutely loved it! Boarded my plane to schipol. Watched 9 and a quarter hours' worth of movies back to back. Hobbit 1, Hobbit 2 and the Wolf of Wall Street. I really wanted to go to kip but they were movies I really wanted to watch too. I arrived in Schipol, Ipodless and with my laptop dead. I knew the drill now and knew where my gate would be. I found my usual nice spot by the window and took it all in. Boarded my plane and heard some familiar accents. Was nice to hear them again.
Touched down in quiet old Newcastle airport, which seems so small after airports like Schipol, KL and Thailand. My bag was one of the first out, but before exiting and I went to the toilets and put on my Longyi! And out I went. There waiting for me was Mam, Dad and Glenn. It was sad seeing them, but felt different as I already knew what to expect as I had came back before. We got some snaps of me posing with my passport and that was that.
What an adventure I'd had…
