I've been doing some research on flies - did you know there are about 20 million trillion flies in Australia!!?! That's about 1 trillion flies for each one of us and I've got most of mine following me today.

If 2 flies do the wild thing in April - they could produce up to 191,010,000,000,000,000,000 progeny by August!!

My new fly net is great for keeping flies off but eating is a nightmare!! The second you get the food out flies attack it - obviously you've got to lift the fly net to eat the food - the very second you lift it flies attack your face. You've got to somehow get the food inside the fly new - without letting flies in - and go from there.

I'm talking a lot about flies aren't I?? But there is just soooooo many of them!!

I'm in Boulia at the moment having lunch - land of the Min Min Lights. Must confess I've never heard of them. They're supposed to be a bit like the Northern Lights and the Southern Aurora - I'd like to see them but they're quite rare - one guy I spoke to here in the pub has been here 20 years and hasn't seen them - so I won't wait around to see them.

But I will go to The Min Min Lights Experience tourist trap - maybe I can at least see a film of them :)
