Had a nice sleep in in Broken Hill and then packed up the Postie and headed off.
This turned out to be my biggest days ride of the whole trip - Wilcania was 198kms out of Broken Hill, but there was nothing there to interest me other than a patrol station and a fill up with junk food.
Cobar was another 260kms away, but I decided to go for …
Not rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail shall keep the postmen from their appointed rounds.
That famous quote was obviously written with the Honda Postie Bike in mind - nothing can stop the little beasts - and with that in mind I decided to try my luck with one riding it through the Australian Outback from Mount Isa to Sydney, via the famous Birdsville Track, touching on three of the biggest deserts in Australia.
Join me on my journey and see how the little Postie goes......

Sounds like you are having a terrific trip meeting good people and really experiencing remote Australia. Our Club went out to East Leichardt Dam, played games ate and drank the day away. Kim had them playing games and doing the Aussie Hakka which was good fun.
We are happy to know you are travelling well and we look forward to reading your Blog.
Take care

what a crazy adventure you're up to now ! I wish you loads of fun, I look forward to the photos and the blog postings, and I wish that all the flies drop dead when coming near to you.

Timesheets.
Good luck, big fella. Give us a yell when you're approaching Dubbo and I will see if I can meet you somewhere on the way to Lithgow.

All the best Gordon in your jaunt down south. Hope you cope with the increase in populations as you enter the promised land. Mount Isa will miss you. Aside from meeting you personally and listening enthralled as you told me of your previous lives, Mount Isa has appreciated what services you contributed to the health care of our community during your time here. I really hope you enjoyed your experience and are taking away some thoughts that it might be worth revisiting the might Isa some day.
Take care!!
Mr Woodman How'd you go with the headlight bulb? Get one or still riding with a torch?
re: Birdsville, QueenslandMark C I hope you'll be delivering some mail to remote communities on the way!
