I will be honest with you, I believe my horoscopes and that you should never walk over three drains. Friday 13th however is just another day. Unless its 2013 and you are in Shanghai and you are me! Yes probably am being over dramatic but you weren't there, you don't understand.
Okay..
1. Woke up on the top bunk in a sleeper train. Living nightmare.
2. The train has no water to brush my teeth with. Oh and it stinks and my socks got wet with stuff I'm not sure was water.
3. Misplace my camera charger forever only 7 days into my 416 day trip!
4. A horrendous lightning storm which, yes turned out amazing but initially was terrifying!
5. The hotel we were in being suddenly protected by sandbags. Always reassuring!
6. Your adapters are the wrong ones for ALL the plugs in the hotel.

Then I got to go on a boat. I do not have sea legs.. and to think I signed up for the navy!? Going along the river and seeing Shanghai's financial district was just incredible. The atmosphere was electric.. Literally! (I'm embarrassed for myself it's okay..) The city looked so different at night. It seemed to come alive in a way that you can only understand if you experience it. Which isn't handy for those of you at home reading this.. Just take my word for it!

I guess we can end this post on a positive. I wasn't seasick. Even stood outside aswell. Massive win!
