Today was a non-action packed day, and that was completely by design. We got up bright and early to catch a bite to eat with Krista before she jetted back up to sweet sweet Canada, and then we walked as slowly as possible for the rest of the day. We wandered around the resort to simply enjoy the warmth and the awesome wind. This is the 3rd day in a row now that red flags have been out, so the wind down at the beach is AWESOME! We bit the bullet and both decided to pamper ourselves with a one hour "deep tissue" massage. It was awesome. Tina REALLY loved it, and I liked it a lot! :) The dude did tell us that we'd probably be a little sore afterwards, and yeah... he's right. I think I too would have loved it if: a) my back wasn't a tad bit sunburnt still from day 1 b) I peeled a little so the 35 minutes dedicated to my back has now resulted in me only having 1 layer of skin left!! Sunblock now feels like vinegar on an open wound. I'll survive. HA!
We had a little siesta, went for another walk, then watched some cheesy TV. Yes, Relaxing 101 was what it was all about today. We capped the night with a little (that's sarcasm as nothing here is little) supper at the Japanese a la cart. Holy yummy. We've actually read some reviews about this resort before we came and the a la carts were hit and miss, so we had close to zero expectations. Our experiences have been amazing. I can't pick a favorite.
Tomorrows plan is to sleep in, eat breakfast, find a taxi to drive us down to Akumal beach where we hang with two species of sea turtles; in the wild. Our last full day, so I predict more maxin' and relaxin'!! We'll Skype with the little ladies too, which we can't wait for!!! :) Sleepy sleep!
