Day 69 - Margaret River to Peaceful Bay We woke up to a beautiful blue sky but unfortunately it didn’t take long for the rain to start again! Day 68 - Margaret River It’s another wet day so we had a slower morning. In between showers we enjoyed looking at all the kangaroos and waiting for the joeys to poke their heads out. Day 67 - Margaret River After 9.5 weeks on the road we woke up to our first rainy day. It’s raining, cold and windy! We drove to Augusta and went to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. It’s Australia’s tallest mainland lighthouse and is situated at the most south-westerly tip of Australia, where the Indian and Southern oceans meet. Day 66 - Busselton to Margaret River (44kms) We drove to Busselton Jetty which is the longest wooden piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere at 1,841 metres. We walked to the end stopping on the seats for a rest (for Bronte), to watch the boys fish for squid and to chat to the locals fishing. Day 65 - Bunbury to Busselton (71km/1 hr) We woke up to the beautiful sounds of waves crashing at the beach. Rog cooked us bacon & eggs at the public BBQs and the kids enjoyed playing with the dogs that were going past on their morning walks.
