Today we woke up around 930 and had some of our complimentary breakfast before we headed out for the day.It was good, but different of course. The eggs were hardboiled mixed in with scrambled eggs. They had really good pastries though.
We headed out for the afternoon to do some shopping and then took a water taxi over to Murano to watch how glass gets blown and designed. That was really cool. See our photo album for pictures. We walked around Murano for a bit to see if we could find any cool gifts for people. We then headed back to Rialto, which is where we got dropped off yesterday and got lost. But while we were lost we saw a ton of shops that we wanted to go to. So we shopped around in Rialto for a bit and ended up walking over to Giogli .We stumbled upon a McDonalds somewhere along the way that I just couldn't pass up. So we sat and had a cheeseburger and then continued our journey back to our hotel. We realized that we had walked all the way to a different part of the island and we decided it was time to take a water taxi back to San Marco.
When we got back we rested up for a bit and headed out to dinner. We forgot it was Sunday and a lot of places would be closed, but we found one and had a really funny waiter. He bought us both roses and talked to us for most of the night. Taylor ordered calamari and I had a pork tenderloin.By the end of our dinner it was around 1130 and the restaurant was closing, but then our waiter brought us out dessert. It was a sample of tiramasu, chocolate mousse and some amaretto thing. All of which were amazing. As he watched us literally SCARF it down, he laughed at us, shook his head, and then came back out and put more chocolate mousse in front of us. We were embarrassed, yet thankful. He also asked us why our wine was gone so fast. We didn't have a reason. We told him it was good. He then asked us if we wanted another and we declined. Probably for the best. He also gave us free limon cello!
