Today we went to Positano in Sorrento. I (Taylor) did not think that anywhere could be any more beautiful then Capri but this was AMAZING! When we arrived the weather was not really in our favor, but we headed to the beach anyways. Nicole and I were freezing due to the sun not being out, so we decided to go shopping instead. After looking around at the shops for a while we went to this little deli that our guides recommended us to eat at! They were the best Panini's that we had thus far! Yummm! After eating at the awesome deli the weather cleared up a little and it was time to take our group boat tour to go cliff jumping and cave diving J When we arrived I laughed and thought to myself that it didn't look that high at all! I WAS WRONG! Ha. Nicole and I decided that it would be best if we went one at a time so that we could get each other's pictures. I went first. To get to the jump you had to climb up the side of a cliff that was wet and slippery. It was really scary and we thought we were going to fall many times. You could choose to either jump the 15-foot or the 30-foot jump. I decided I would be tough and go straight to the 30-footer. This was a mistake! First off to get to the 30-foot jump you had dangle down the side of the cliff until your feet touched this tiny landing that you could jump off. Luckily I befriended this guy from Ireland who helped me make my way down, or I probably would of died. Once on the platform to jump I made the mistake of looking down and realized how high I really was. Nicole was laughing at me on the boat because I was so scared! The only reason I ended up jumping right away was because Nicole said she would take my picture at the count of three! Next it was Nicole's turn to jump and I knew this was going to be funny!!!
Nicole swam out and started her trek up the cliff. She stopped at the 15-foot jump and said she was only going to jump this one. I laughed and took her picture then motivated her to try to do the 30-foot jump. Surprisingly she did not fight it and jumped. She made the loudest screeching sound I have ever heard and everyone laughed on the boat!
Next thing we knew we were headed back on the boat to go to this amazing cave to swim. I was the first girl to jump out to the water with the boy from Ireland. It was freezing and we had to swim kind of far to get to the cave! Nicole decided not to come because she was tired from cliff jumping. Once inside the cave the water was a lot warmer. It was beautiful because the water glowed an emerald green/ turquoise blue color, and you could clear to the bottom. The bottom was filled with gorgeous purple and blue coral reef. The cave also had an area you could swim up to where you could sit and take a break from swimming.
After Our busy day Nicole and I headed back to Sorrento for some shopping and dinner. It was really good food and we found a few gifts for our family. After the busy day we went back to the hostel and went straight to bed.
