After leaving Florence, we began our Bus2Alps tour to Capri, Positano and Pompeii. We took an 8 hour bus ride to Sorrento and checked into our hostel with ELEVEN other girls. We met a really nice guy from Ireland who we hope will help show us what to do in Ireland, and we also met some girls from Canada who we hung out with most of the time.
The next morning we woke up and took a ferry over to Capri from Sorrento. We had a private boat waiting for us to take a tour around the island. It was beautiful. Our tour guides showed us the white grotto, orange grotto and the green grotto. Unfortunately we did not get to swim in the blue grotto because the water was too rough. :/ While on our tour, we saw a yacht that belonged to Bill Gates, Giorgio Armani's villa, the Gerber baby family villa, and I few others that I am forgetting right now….We went under this arc that apparently if you kiss under it it means you will return to Capri. Taylor and I contemplated this idea.
After our boat tour of Capri, we decided to take a chair lift to give us an amazing view of the city. The chair lift lasted for 30 minutes and we were really high up in the air. We definitely got some great pictures. After our chair lift, we hiked up to Anacapri, which is a city that looks over Capri. There we had a lemon and melon cello tasting and picked up some souvenirs for those of you back home J
The Amalfi Coast is all about custom made sandals and the best ones can be found in Capri. The sandals are extremely expensive but were very fun to look at and see how pretty they are.
