Well Tuesday 14th august was the day i started my travels to sydney which was going to take 3 days. It was an early start about 5.30 as i had to be in the city for 6.30 to catch the bus. I was very hungover from neighbours night and the taxi was late so it was drama, drama, drama, and it was far to early to function right. Anyway i got on the bus and after fillng out lots of forms we headed to wilson's promontory which is the most southern point of australia and also a national park. the views were amazing, from hilss and lakes to beaches. On the way we stopped to view some local wildlife, we managed to see kangaroo's. wombats and emu's in the wild, which was great. We did a 2.5km walk around one of the hills towards the beach (sneaky beach) the photo's are in the album. Beauitful sunshine that day and quite warm even though it's still winter there. Oh my god i can't wait for more sunshine. In the evening we drove to lakes entrance which is the start of the great dividing range a mountain range which goes from victoria to queensland. We got to see sunset here which was nice my first in oz.

another early start today we visited the snowy mountains after we crossed the board betweeen victoria and new south wales. The views of the morning mist over the hills was amazing and views i forget. Nothing like home at all. Whilst driving the wallabys were jumping in front of the bus which was a big hair raising at time but we didn't hit any! We went to a town called jindabyne where we went snow tubing which was great and cheap. check out the video!! After snow tubing is was a night of food, wine and pool playing.

We left jindabyne quite early for another long day of driving, first stop canberra the capital city but it felt more like a ghost town. It is the quitest capital city i have ever been to there are only about 300,000 people living in canberra. We visited parliament house which was good and got to see a local politican kevin rudd. proabaly doesn't mean anything to you back home. After some lunch in the town centre we headed for sydney 487km and 4 1/2 hours later we arrived in sydney. i'm really glad i decided to do the three day tour to sydney instead of flying as i got to see more of the coutnryside and different environments, i.e.beaches one day and the snow the second. amazing i cant wait for the rest of the country now.
