I forgot to write something up in my diary on the plane home as I was far too busy lusting over Brad Pitt in Ocean's 11 and 12 as well as listening to music. My entire Southeast Asia tour is over now anyway and I'm back in my hometown, Manchester relaxing on my sofa with a belly full of chinese food watching a documentary about state benifits and housing- Good old Britain, we don't know we're born!
Today was emtional seeing my mum and uncle Mike at the airport as I've come away from Asia appreciating them a whole lot more. Does any other traveller go through this?
Back to my last few days in Thailand... My last night in Bangkok which was the day we arrived in from Hua Hin, me and pippa did exactly what I said and went for a Pad Thai and to the reggae bar, which is actually called 'The Happy Bar'. It was a short visit as we were shattered. The following day, 31st, was again something equally as chilled out. We had a bit of a stroll around the local area and got a bite to eat just off Koh San Road (Pad Thai AGAIN). We got back to our hotel and I showred and started preparing for home; mani/pedi.
When I was leaving for the airport I couldn't say a proper goodbye to Pippa as a police officer was pushing my taxi driver to leavde the area because he was holding up traffic. Atleast it wasn't an emotional goodbye which it couldv'e been judging by the how we were feeling in our final few days.
Pippa is still in Bangkok until her flight tomorrow, 2nd. As far as I know she's still alone but her and Jaz might make some arrangment to meet. Either way, let hope she doesn't get the taxi driver to drive toll road route to the airport like I did, I got ripped off! I had to buy two toll tickets which equalled to 70 Baht and the additional fare was 380. My driver short changed me too, even after I told him he had and he gave me only a portion what I was due back- I couldn't be bothered to go for it a second time. I just wanted to board my plane.
Bye Asia!
